London Borough of Havering: Drink awareness poster campaign
Objective
Havering is one of the largest boroughs in Greater London with a population of around 225,000. Our brief was to deliver a ‘safer drinking’ message to the community. Our target audience were drinkers aged eighteen to thirty-something, who maybe indulging a little too much at weekends.
Solution
We devised a high-impact poster campaign. The designs comprised a series of illustrations depicting the dangers associated with excess alcohol consumption. The contemporary style was designed to appeal to our target audience the posters were strategically placed in bars, restaurants, billboards and public transport.
Result
It’s difficult to gauge the impact of one campaign when we’re tackling such a serious social problem. However, the results were extremely well received and other London Borough Councils have since expressed an interest in running the campaign in neighbouring areas.
